Liberty Ridge Elementary School serves students in Preschool through fifth grades and is part of SoWashCo Schools. At Liberty Ridge Elementary School, each grade level has a pod area to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Liberty Ridge Elementary School has two buildings. One building is for students in first through fifth grade, the other is for students in kindergarten and early childhood programs.

Several SoWashCo Schools students talk about what Black History Month means to them.
Six South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) students have been nominated for the Minnesota State High School League’s (MSHSL) ExCEL Awards.

Eight Park Choir singers and their Music Teacher, Benjamin O’Connor, attended the 73rd annual Luther College Dorian Vocal Festival. The grand event was a two-day-long festival that started on Jan. 8. and concluded on Jan. 9 in Decorah, Iowa.

Gina Kuah, an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) senior at Woodbury High School, has earned the Questbridge Scholarship that will provide her with full tuition, room and board, transportation, books and additional support as she heads to college next fall at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.
There may be some rare storms or situations that require South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) to cancel school and close all district buildings, programs and learning activities due to wind chill, snow, ice, hazardous roads, inclement weather or other situations.
SoWashCo Schools is in the final steps of drafting our 2023-24 school calendar. We utilized feedback from families, staff, and district leaders to create a proposed calendar option that has students start school next year after Labor Day. The final details of the calendar are being completed. We plan to bring the proposal to the School Board for the first reading of the calendar on Thursday, Feb. 2, with approval of the calendar on Thursday, Feb. 16.
Peter Leatherman, of The Morris Leatherman Company, will be presenting results from the community survey about Long Term Facilities Planning on Feb. 2, at the School Board meeting.
South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) is partnering with Washington County Public Heath to host a free Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination clinic at Crestview Elementary School from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23.
